Class - Diamond Windows Stack n Whack

This quilt is made up of blocks that are 60-degree diamonds sashed to give the appearance of "attic windows".  The diamonds are made up of two 60-degree triangles cut from four-repeat squares of a print fabric in the "stack and whack" style to create the diamonds.

Most fabrics are a 24" repeat or some other division (6",8" or 12") that you can cut as a 24" repeat.  Three yards of a print with a 24" repeat (or some other multiple equal to 24") will yield 30 diamond blocks and will make a quilt that is 60"x60" if you include a 4" border.  If you want a larger quilt (approx 75 x 75), you will need 5 1/2 yards of 24" repeat print fabric plus you will need to double the sashing fabric.
