Basic serger class
This is a class on how the get the most use of your serger. The topics covered are:
Care & maintenance of your machine
Techniques on how to start and stop a seam
How to stitch a curved (in and outside) seam
How to stitch a squared seam (in and outside)
How to sew a corner when trimming excess fabric is necessary
How to sew a lapped opening with lace
The use of rolled and flat-locked stitches
A discussion of decorative threads and their uses
We would love to have you join us for this class. However, yo must be able to thread your machine such that you are able to successfully stitch for 12 inches or so. If you are having trouble with this, let us help you get it worked out before class so we can all stay together.
